Quote Me, Quote You

You may lose by loving; you always lose by holding back

Trap me with your spell. I dare you to occur without warning and expectation.

The Price Of Fame
          Every storyteller knows that, at the heart of every great tale, is the hero who inspired it.
Legends whose names are known, whose lives we remember, whose stories we pass on.
Alexander the great.
Ernest Hemingway. ... Marilyn Monroe.
The older the tale, the more romantic embellishments we tale spinners add. It helps create the illusion of an individual who is larger than life.  My Grandfather was a legend in his own right by the time I entered into this world shiny and new. But he wasn't the only one.
There have been others since my entrance onto the stage of life.  Some young, some old, some quiet, and some a little more well known.
There is an old expression for the few seconds before the curtain goes up on a stage play.
It is called the holy time.
But you don't have to be an actor to know what the holy time feels like.
It's that breath you take just seconds before you become the person you were meant to become.
For some people, it feels like forever.
And for some, it's a moment over far too fast.
--- Everwood
Do you remember your holy time, or is it a moment you are awaiting still?

How Could You Know…
How could you know,
When you were 20 and impossibly sexy,
And unable to imagine yourself otherwise;
That time would teach you something.
That age is not a loss but and exchange;
Of wisdom for youth, grace for foolishness,
Love for lust.
And it is an exchange that will seem a very unfair trade,
Not for the woman;
But to the girl.

It’s always the kiss that bewitches me. I NEED that twitch, that bite of the lips. It’s how I measure the fit.

If Jesus Christ came back today and saw what was being done in his name, he'd never stop throwing up....
